Margot has arrived!

so its been quite a while since i last posted, but since sheepcote is basically the same every day theres really not much to report.
Margot arrived on friday, i was sposed to only have a half day to go meet her at the airport but due to delays she missed her connection flight from dublin to birmingham so by the time she got on another one she didnt arrive in birmingham until 3 o'clock and then it was two hour train ride back to hereford so i ended up missing the whole day. We got back to find out that Chris, the only male working student, had arrived back from his day off the day before simply to collect his horse and take off so poor hayley had to run stallion yard on her own, but nobody was sad to see him go. two new girls have arrived before margot, Kirsty lives nearby andcommutes in and Chrissy is a girl from California that is over here to take the BHS exams (british horse society). Because they were new i got bumped off Teasle and rode a couple of random horses for about a week then earlier this week i was put back on Teasle and I think the break from each other did us well because my rides on him have been really really nice. During a lesson with Serena on Sunday i even did half-passe! which was really cool. And I worked on my medium trot which serena said was looking much better than before. THen yesterday with david i worked on canter-walk-canter transitions. I have the walk-canter transition down really well but im struggling a bit with the canter-walk transisition, but i did manage to get two really good ones so i ended the lesson yesterday on those.
This past weekend was a really big show called the "Welsh Festival" down in Wales (surprise surprise) and lots of people went. David did Grand Prix on Wurly and won. Serena rode both Devil and Santo and did really well with both, qualifying for regionals on Santo in the 4 yr old class. Emma came second with Dior at Prix St. George and Hayley came Fourth on Freelancer in the 5 yr old class which means she has to go to another show on friday to qualify for regionals. and i cant remember how Kara did with catkin but i think she did well too. However yesterday Wurly came out of his stable off so hes now on rest being iced and DMSO-ed (anti-inflammatory) three times a day. Hopefully its nothing serious.
I think thats about it...we're all very excited for Shrek 3 to come out here and then Harry Potter..sadly those are the exciting events in our life.
Schooling on Lucy's ponies (perry and now sky too) is going well. Perry is becoming more confident on the bit but he put up a big fight the other day when we worked on leg yielding...he kept buckig and trying to rear but i ended up winning in the end and he did some steps of proper leg yielding along the wall. Sky is really fun to ride even though she is very sensitive, her canter needs tons of work especially to the left but she'll make a really nice event pony.
Margot is settling in, the first couple of days i think she found rough just with figuring everythign out and being completely jet lagged. She's been riding this mare named Jalut and doing well with her and I think Serena is going to have her ride Devil a bit while she's in prague teaching which is very cool for her.
