ok im back

so as of next week margot will have been here for exactly one month and ill have been here for 2 months which means ill only have three weeks left to go! agh i cant believe the summer is going by so quickly!
Next thursday and friday my parents and two little sisters are coming to visit so im really excited for that but im not sure what we're going to do because hereford is really boring. but im sure we'll find something. i actually drove by their bed-and-breakfast last night on the way to a different supermarket by chance and it looks really nice so ill hopefully be spending the night there instead of at sheepcote since the accomodations here suck.
David has essentially stopped helping me in lessons..ive sorta moved onto the group in which he seems to think 'they know what they're doing so i'll let them figure out how to get the horse going nicer on their own' and its like 'greeeeeat cause i actually ahve no clue what im doing'. so thats a little disappointing.
However on the upside i've been competing perry (the little pony) in jumpers and even hunters (i know i know....) and there has been talk of me taking himto an event in july after doing some x-country schooling. so i've been working on dressage with him andalthough the canters still really bad the trot and walk are both getting much better. So once we improve the canter and our transitions then we'll be all set:) it is a little disappointing that i came all this way to ride horses and once again ive become the pony rider but i guess thats what you get for being so little. oh well at least they pay for all my competition fees. but the jumpers and hunter shows have gone really well, i've been placing in the top three for every class i enter.
And i really shouldnt complain because i have learned so much more than i expected to learn in just three months (well so far even just two!). A few days ago i got to ride sultan..competitive name son of charm, who david got shortlisted for the olympics on so that was really cool. i mean he's old now but he was really fun. Very hard to sit to, david was really impressed/shocked that i could sit/ride him as well as i did. he was much hotter than i expected and whenever i wouldnt let him go faster hed break into medium trot without actaully speeding up his rythym so then id have to bring him back into collected or working trot until the next time he decided that going slow was boring. I kept having to take breaks because he's an old man and was knackered after about 15 min.
well im going into town so i should take off. hopefully internet wont be as dodgey this month so i'll actually be able to make some posts, although nothing really happens here that is worth posting about.

Love your post but don't plan on staying at the B&B - too far from the horses.
Love mom & dad
